Curriculum Night – Tuesday, Sept. 27
Alki’s Back to School night is next Tuesday, Sept. 27! This is the perfect time to explore the school, meet your child’s teacher, see their classroom and learn what their life is going to be like at Alki this year!
- 6:00 PM – Intro and Welcome from Principal Deese and staff in the lunchroom
- 6:30 PM – 1st Session – Families visit child’s classroom
- 7:00 PM – 2nd Session – Families with multiple students have opportunity to visit additional classrooms.
To maximize your time with the teachers and staff we ask that Curriculum Night is an adult’s only event, but Alki PTA will be providing supervision in the gym for those families without childcare alternatives.
We will be showing a ‘G’ rated Disney movie to keep the kiddos entertained – a suggested donation of $5 is appreciated and will offset the cost of the Movie Licensing fees required – but is not mandatory!
This year we are partnering with West Seattle High School students earning ‘service learning hours’ to provide childcare for Curriculum Night as well as PTA meetings throughout the year. In order to be compliant with Seattle Public Schools we still need one adult for every 10 students in our care. If you can sit in for part of the time during Curriculum Night with your student it would be appreciated. Please arrive at 5:45 to check your child in at the gym. Thank you and see you on the 27th!
