Congratulations to Alki 5th graders and thank you to 5th Grade Breakfast chairs: Nicole Bryant and Sarah Martinez for giving the 5th graders and their families a wonderful send off. Special thanks as well to Nathan and Jessie Ryan for filming the traditional 5th grade video – definitely got the tears flowing yesterday!
Alki PTA would also like to congratulate Anne Temme, this year’s Golden Acorn Award recipient. Anne was honored yesterday morning for her years of volunteer service at Alki including: Passsport Club Chair, 2013-2015 Board Secretary, Auction and Alkiathon Sponsorships coordinator, Room Parent Coordinator and countless hours doing jobs big and small for teachers and students. Thank you, Anne. And thank you to ALL of this year’s outgoing 5th grade families for all your contributions to Alki!
We also want to share our thanks and best wishes to Alki’s long time, beloved Instructional Assistant, Carol Ambrozic, lunch lady, Dianne Lannoye, and Nurse Mary Kaye Sykes in their retirement. Nurse Sykes has been at Alki the last seven years and Carol and Dianne have each had over twenty years at Alki! Amazing!
