Many companies, including Starbucks, Boeing Nordstrom and Microsoft provide a matching program.
How do I get the corporate matching funds? If you are not sure if your company participates please contact your employer’s human resources department. Most programs are accessed via the companies Intranet. To apply for the program you must simply fill out the form from your employer and your employer will contact the PTA for verification or ask you to submit the form through your PTA contact which can be found below. Please take advantage of this opportunity. It is a win-win for the children at Alki Elementary.

The following are steps on how to sign up:
- Visit your Company’s Employee website for information and procedures.
- As an employee, you must complete all of the appropriate forms, which will include the name of the charity of your choice (Alki PTA Seattle Council 6.15.25). The address listed for Alki PTA may indicate Tacoma, WA. This is correct, because the Washington State PTA is our Registered Agent.
- Depending on your company, you may need to complete forms online or drop off the completed paper form in the Alki PTA mailbox, located around the corner from main office.
- Most companies send the matching dollars on a quarterly basis. Please check back with your Company’s Employee website to make sure that the matching amount has been processed.
Many companies also have a Volunteer Matching Program that will make donations to Alki PTA based on the number of hours you volunteer with our PTA. Companies such as Microsoft, Boeing and Starbucks pay an hourly rate for your volunteer time.
It’s easy for Alki PTA to benefit from these offerings. Simply submit your volunteer hours on your company’s employee volunteer site. An Alki PTA Board Member will confirm these hours prior to payment from the company. For example, Microsoft will donate $25/hour to our PTA when you volunteer with our organization. Please check with your Human Resources Department to confirm their participation in a Volunteer Matching Program.
