Afterschool Enrichment
2025-26 Enrichment Program
Enrichment sessions are offered throughout the fall, winter, and spring—indoors and outdoors. Students can dive into activities like art, dance, languages, outdoor adventures, martial arts, coding, gaming, multisports, fashion, chess, and so much more!
It’s a great way for students to make friends, discover new interests, and have fun together beyond the classroom.
FAQs
Spring Enrichment FAQ
Why Hall of Fame Team Camp (HOFTC)?
Having an outside coordinator allows the Alki PTA to focus on more school events and programming as this has been an intensive volunteer run program. Alki PTA reached out to the PTAs at all 9 SPS schools that HOFTC partners with and all of them provided exceptional reviews. PTA members and enrichment volunteers present at the last PTA general meeting expressed support of this transition.
Why is the program only 2 days a week?
At most of their partner schools, and always for the first session working together, HOFTC runs the program for 2 days to make sure that classes have high enough enrollment and to get to know each community and their needs.
Are classes through HOFTC more expensive?
Yes, the increased cost covers the HOFTC coordination and ensures student safety by having an on-site coordinator. At least one lower-cost HOFTC-run class will be offered each session.
What is the Choose Your Own Adventure option?
This is a 30 minute add-on class that will extend your child’s enrichment program to allow for a 4:10pm pickup. Any enrichment participant can be enrolled in this add-on.
Are there scholarships?
Families can request either 50% or 100% scholarships, however, scholarship recipients will be responsible for paying HOFTC fees as those cannot be waived. Each vendor will contribute the cost of one enrichment class to the scholarship fund, which allows for flexibility in awarding scholarships. At registration families will be able to contribute to a scholarship fund which will help provide additional scholarships. HOFTC will be responsible for approving the scholarships. Students who have not already received a scholarship this school year will get priority for scholarships, but if additional scholarship money is available, students that have received scholarships already may receive scholarships.
What will happen next school year?
Alki PTA plans to send out a survey to our community this spring to gather information that will help shape the 2026-2027 after school enrichment program.
