As of the 2025-26 school year, we are still in our interim location at Schmitz Park Elementary school. Our beautiful new school will be ready for our return for the 2026-27 school year and we could not be more excited.

Alki Elementary : Bell Schedule
School Hours: 7:55 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.
Wednesdays: 7:55 a.m. - 1:10 p.m. -
Arrival & Dismissal Information
Morning Drop-Off & Afternoon Pick-Up
Students will arrive and leave from the area to the east of the school, inside the fence.
Late Arrivals
If your child is late, please enter through the main office.
Students must check in there before going to their classroom.
End-of-Day Plans
Each teacher has a record of where students go at the end of the day.
Teachers will make sure every child goes to the right place.
For afternoon dismissal, students will line up in their usual spots, and families may enter campus after 2:20 p.m. for teacher-to-parent handoff inside the gates.
Families can stay to play on the playground after dismissal but must first complete the handoff.
Park in the light green areas shown above; no curbside pickup is allowed. Avoid parking in bus zones (orange) to keep bus routes clear.
Please be considerate neighbors by not blocking driveways or access points.
Alternate Pick-Ups
If someone not listed on your approved contacts will pick up your child, let your teacher know by email in advance.
Walking Home
If older students walk home alone, please notify Amey Nutter in the office at alnutter@seattleschools.org.
Bus Transportation
Information for bus families comes directly from the district.
Transportation details are on the district website.
In the event of bus delays, families will receive a text or phone call.

If your child is ill, will be late to school, or has an appointment and needs to leave early, please email attendance and your child’s teacher.

If you would like to apply for free and reduced meals, you can apply here.
If your student will be buying school lunches, meal funds are set up using MySchoolBucks as of 24-25 school year.

Alki PTA provides teacher curated school supply packs for all students. This ensures all students have what they need, creates equity amongst study body, and lowers cost to families for those supplies.

SPS The Source is the official online communication portal used by Seattle Public Schools (SPS). It provides parents, guardians, and students with secure access to schedules, attendance, assessment scores, grades, and other important school-related information.

It is recommended to arrange a meeting that includes yourself, your teacher, the resources department, and the administration. Begin by emailing the individuals you know who will be part of the team, and the school can add any additional members as necessary. These meetings typically take place after school hours to facilitate everyone's participation.

Yes! Located in the front hallway near the office, find lost items in bins (water bottles, lunch boxes, etc) or rolling racks (clothing items).
