Please join us for a presentation and discussion about the new Washington State PTA Legislative Platform, and how Alki Elementary PTA is participating in the upcoming Legislative Session.

The Alki Elementary PTA submitted a Legislative Priority Proposal to the Washington State PTA to “Increase Access to Nursing, Mental Health, and Social Emotional Learning Staff”. A few weeks ago at the WSPTA Legislative Assembly this was voted in as the #1 Legislative Priority for the next two years by ~300 PTA Voting Delegates across the state, echoing survey results from thousands of PTA Members. This critical issue combines with four other Priorities to create the new WSPTA Legislative Platform

   We would like to share with you more detail about this process so far, the next steps in supporting the WSPTA Legislative Platform, and ways that you can potentially help. Please know that although there may be opportunities for you to get involved, that is not at all required for you to attend this meeting. This can simply be informational for you, a chance for you to express an opinion, and/or a chance to learn more about how you can help.
